An extraordinary strike resulted in detail that is just about as perfect as it gets. Every obverse star is well struck, and the ear of corn on the reverse is uncommonly well detailed. Incidental marks are nearly nonexistent, and two out of the three grading factors indicate a grade of at least MS-65. However, the luster is subdued, and there is an overly thick patina on the obverse that may be partially responsible for the diminished cartwheel effect that would be necessary for a very high grade. Buy this one if you are a detail fanatic.
