Doubled edge lettering seems to be the rage these days; in fact, the Presidential dollar is selling for large premiums when this error is present. However, it is far more difficult to locate a Draped Bust half dollar with this same error. We are pleased to offer such a coin today. Your cataloger will not attempt to decipher the subliminal message imparted by the jumble of letters as they appear on the edge of this coin, but suffice it to say that even a brief examination will reveal the error. A nice coin that grades a bit better than VF-30, but it is netted down slightly on account of a few disturbances in the obverse fields.
