The reverse strike is unusually sharp for 1809, and the obverse is above average as well, and with just a little more cartwheel luster, this coin would achieve the AU level. Even as it is, some glittering mint luster does peek through the original, marbled patina, contributing to the overall good eye-appeal of this example. Just a nice example of a tougher early date in the bust-half series.
