Exquisite coin that far exceeds the quality and aesthetic beauty of the typical 1810. This common variety (and die-state) is easily recognized by the extensively developed peripheral die-crack that extends from the bottom of the date, clockwise through stars on the left-hand side, and later develops additional branches off the right-side of the date. Because of this weakening of the dies, coins of this variety are often not that well struck, but this coin is a happy exception, being a little better struck than average. Luster booms off this beauty, though, and it is only enhanced by elegant, multi-colored album toning cling tastefully to the outer reaches of both sides. The planchet is of superior quality in every respect, and there are no dings, marks or abrasions detracting from the rim quality. The faintest of surfaces hairlines can be seen at certain angles extending downward across Liberty's portrait, but it is merely an incidental effect of very brief circulation. Without question, this is a truly premium-quality coin.
