A thoroughly lustrous and intermittently brilliant jewel, this coin is about as close as one can get to uncirculated without being 'new'. No wear actually shows at all, but subtle discoloration of Liberty's cheek, and the most subtle shift in luster on the tip of the eagle's beak and the edge of the left wing confirm very slight circulation rub. In short, this is the TRUE definition of an AU-58, or 'slider unc' coin. Mint luster flow readly from edge to edge without interruption, and the original surfaces are undisturbed by any subsequent cleaning or doctoring attempts. A tenuous hint of ash-blue color merits mention, but overall, this coin is flashy silver with a faint golden cast.
